Koch Chemie Tea Teerwäsche A 1L | Solvent Tar & Bitumen Remover | Halogenated-Hydrocarbon-Free
Tea Teerwäsche A is Koch Chemie's solvent tar and bitumen remover — for the black specks along the lower doors and sills that a wash and a decon shampoo will not shift.
What you're buying
- 1 L bottle. Koch Chemie article number 391001.
- Solvent-based, ready to use — not a dilutable concentrate.
- Free from halogenated hydrocarbons.
Where it works
Suitable for solvent-resistant surfaces on cars and commercial vehicles, and beyond the car for wash brushes, machinery and workshop floors. Fast-acting and safe on paintwork.
Sequence matters
Tar removal is a solvent job and iron removal is a chemical one — they are not the same step and one will not do the other's work. Wash first, then iron remover, then tar remover, then clay only for whatever is still bonded. Working in that order means the clay has almost nothing left to shear off, which is exactly what you want, because clay is the only mechanical step in the sequence.
Before you start
- Work on cool panels out of direct sun.
- Check compatibility on wraps, PPF and freshly refinished paint before committing — it is a solvent.
- Rinse the panel afterwards; do not let it dry on the surface.
