The Safe Wash
The minimum safe wash — and we mean minimum. If a kit can't protect your paint while it cleans, we won't put our name on it.
Almost every swirl mark on a daily-driven car was put there during washing. Not by the road, not by the car wash down the street — by the owner, with a sponge and one bucket. This kit is built to remove the three things that actually cause that: grit going back onto the paint, a shampoo that strips protection, and a wheel cleaner harsh enough to ruin what it touches.
THREE BUCKETS — WASH, RINSE, WHEELS
This is the Alpha method and it isn't optional. One bucket for your shampoo, one to rinse the mitt in before it goes back, and a third kept entirely separate for wheels — because brake dust is iron and sharp, and it has no business anywhere near paint. All three are colour-coded so nobody in the household gets them confused, and all three carry grit guards so what you rinse off the mitt stays at the bottom instead of coming back up.
THE CHEMISTRY
Sèmper is Labocosmetica's hyper-concentrated pH-neutral shampoo — dilutable to 1:1500, so a 500ml bottle goes a very long way. Neutral pH means it cleans without stripping the wax, sealant or coating you've already paid for.
Maniac Line Wheel & Tyre Cleaner is alkaline and acid-free. That matters: the cheap end of the wheel-cleaner market leans on hydrofluoric acid or ammonium bifluoride to work fast, and those etch polished lips and attack coatings over time. This one dissolves brake dust and tyre browning without that trade-off.
THE TOOLS
The Rag Company Cyclone Ultra — 1100gsm of plush microfibre. Deep pile carries grit up and away from the paint instead of dragging it across; a flat sponge does exactly the opposite.
EZ Detail Big EZ brush — soft, non-scratch, long and flexible enough to reach behind spokes and around calipers.
Aquatouch BIG FELLA V2 — dual-sided 70/30 drying towel, absorbent enough that you lay it on and lift rather than pressing and pulling.
