Which towel for which job?

• Drying the car? A large plush or twist-loop drying towel that holds a lot of water.
• Everyday wiping and quick detailer? An all-purpose cloth.
• Wiping off coating, polish or wax? A soft edgeless buffing towel, used only on clean paint.
• Glass? A tight, low-pile glass cloth that leaves no lint or streaks.
• Interior? A short-nap cloth that grips dust on plastics and screens.

Keep them separate. A towel that has touched wheels or door shuts never goes back on paint.

Wash them right. Use a microfibre detergent and never fabric softener: softener coats the fibres and they stop absorbing. Dry on low heat or hang dry.
