The only protection that takes the hit
Paint protection film is a self-healing thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) barrier. It physically absorbs stone chips rather than just resisting chemicals. Film quality is chemistry: aliphatic TPU stays optically clear for years, while films built on aromatic chemistry yellow in Australian UV.
