Yum Cars PPF Serum | Coating for Paint Protection Film & Wraps 50ml
PPF Serum is a specialist coating developed exclusively for paint protection film and vinyl wraps. Film moves, stretches and self-heals, so it needs a coating that stays flexible with it — Yum Cars describe PPF Serum as 100% flexible, partially absorbing into the top coat of the film itself.
What Yum Cars say about it
Formulated with silicon carbide technology, Yum state that PPF Serum enhances clarity and depth without reducing film flexibility, helps prevent yellowing and staining from UV and environmental fallout, and adds slickness and repellency. It can be layered: Yum state that two layers, 60 minutes apart, achieve upwards of 2 years of flexible protection. These are the manufacturer's figures.
Use it for
Freshly installed or well-maintained paint protection film and vinyl wraps. As PPF installers ourselves, this is the kind of product we want on film: bugs, bird droppings and hard water are what stain PPF, and a slick, repellent surface makes them release at the wash instead of etching in. If your film is matte or satin, ask us before coating it.
Preparation and application
Wash and decontaminate the film gently — avoid strong solvents and aggressive claying on PPF — then wipe down so the surface is free of oils and residue. Yum Cars specify a controlled indoor environment. Apply to one small section at a time, level and buff with clean short-pile towels, apply the second layer after 60 minutes, and keep the car dry while it cures. Follow the instructions supplied with the bottle.
