The exact forensic-level wash we run before every paint correction, PPF install and ceramic coating — now bookable as a standalone service at our Heidelberg West studio. This is not a car wash. It's a complete chemical decontamination of your vehicle, engine bay included, finished with six months of paint protection.
Why three pH stages?
Contamination bonds to your paint in chemically different ways — and no single product removes it all. Every stage below is done before we ever touch the paintwork.
Stage 1 — Alkaline pre-wash (pH 11). Organic contamination — traffic film, oils, bug remains, bird droppings and general road grime — responds to alkaline chemistry. We use Labocosmetica PRIMUS 2.0, the world's first VDA-certified pre-wash. No free caustic salts (no sodium hydroxide), so it lifts the organic layer without attacking aluminium, trim, rubber or existing coatings.
Stage 2 — Acid decontamination (pH <3). Inorganic contamination — mineral deposits, water spots and limescale — ignores alkaline cleaners entirely. It needs acid. We use Labocosmetica PURIFICA, built on buffered noble acids: no hydrofluoric acid, no ammonium bifluoride, VDA-certified safe on paint, alloys and trim.
Stage 3 — De-ironing. Ferrous contamination — brake dust and industrial fallout embedded in the paint and wheels — gets a dedicated stage. Labocosmetica SIDERO dissolves the iron particles chemically, changing colour on contact so you can literally watch the fallout bleed off the surface. Wheels get the same treatment — faces and barrels.
Stage 4 — pH-neutral contact wash. Only now, with the contamination chemically released, do we touch the paint: a lubricated contact wash with Labocosmetica NEVE, pH-neutral and phosphate-free — maximum slickness, zero marring.
Drying — warm air, not towels. We dry the vehicle with warm filtered air, minimising contact with the paintwork. Less touching means less risk of inflicted marring — the same reason every stage above happens before the wash mitt comes out.

Add the interior (+$150): a full interior reset — thorough vacuum, plastics and trim cleaned, screens and interior glass, door jambs and sills finished properly.
Got PPF or a wrap?
This service is fully available for film-protected vehicles. We run the same decontamination sequence using the PPF-safe equivalent chemistry, so your film, edges and top-coat stay exactly as they should. Just mention PPF when we confirm your booking.

Need to move it? Reschedule free of charge with 48 hours' notice or more. Cancellations with 7+ days' notice receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows forfeit 50% of the booking.
