Light One — a complete headlight restoration kit for cloudy, yellowed polycarbonate headlight covers. Restores clarity to oxidised headlight lenses without removing the lens from the vehicle.
The chemistry
A multi-stage system: a sanding pad to remove the oxidised top layer of polycarbonate, a polishing compound to clear the sanding marks, and a UV-protective coating to lock in the clarity and slow re-oxidation.
Polycarbonate (the plastic of modern headlight covers) yellows under UV exposure as the polymer chain degrades at the surface. Sanding removes the degraded layer; the polish refines the finish; the coating restores the UV barrier that prevents re-yellowing for ~12 months.
Use it for
Cloudy or yellowed headlights on cars 5+ years old, restoring headlight output before a roadworthy inspection, post-purchase used-car detail, fleet vehicle maintenance.
How to use
Sand the lens with the included pad in one direction until the surface is uniformly matte. Apply the polishing compound with circular motion until clarity returns. Apply the UV coating in a thin even layer. Allow to cure 12 hours before exposure to rain. Re-coat annually.
