DIY Detail Rotary Jeweling Pad 5.25" — Red Waffle Finishing Pad
The finishing pad in DIY Detail's Gold Standard Polishing System. The 5.25" Rotary Jeweling Pad is the softest and least aggressive of the three Gold Standard pads, built to do one job exceptionally well: refine paint to the deepest gloss and clarity it will hold.
At 1 inch thick with a supple red waffle-faced foam, it conforms to flat panels, curves and body lines without the operator having to fight it. The waffle peaks and valleys create pockets that meter polish evenly across the face, cut product consumption and — importantly for rotary work — hold pad temperature down. Lower operating temperature is what keeps a finishing pass finishing rather than hazing.

HOW TO USE IT
- Pair with a fine finishing polish — this pad is not intended to carry a compound.
- Prime the face with a light spread of polish across the waffle peaks.
- Work at moderate speed with light pressure; let the pad and polish do the refining.
- Wipe the residue with a clean, plush microfibre and inspect under strong light.
- Wash the pad after use and air dry face-up — never store a pad wet and compressed.
