Soft99 Glaco Glass Compound Roll On

Glaco Glass Compound Roll On — a handheld glass compounder with a built-in felt pad. Soft99 positions it as surface preparation before glass coating, and says it removes stubborn stains and traffic film as well as remnants of Ultra Glaco.

The chemistry

Soft99 lists the contents as abrasive materials and does not say which, so we won't name one. It is an abrasive glass compound for vehicle glass, so it is used with light pressure: Soft99 warns against excessive force, which can scratch, and says it is not a glass scratch remover.

Use it for

Pre-treatment before any Glaco coating, and taking an old water-repellent coating off so the glass is bare again. Soft99 also gives it for removing traffic film and oil from vehicle glass.

How to use

Rinse and dry the glass. Shake well, remove the cap and plastic seal, press the pad onto the glass and squeeze gently to release the compound. Polish with the felt head until the water repellency is completely gone, then rinse well with water and dry the glass before you apply a new coating.

Vehicle glass only: not the inside of the car, painted surfaces, interiors, or resin with a glass-look surface, and not glass that already has a hydrophobic, hydrophilic or anti-glare coating you want to keep. Don't use it in strong sunlight or on hot glass, don't leave it to dry on the glass, and don't use excessive force. If it touches anywhere else, wipe it off with a clean, damp towel.
