Yum Wheel Foam is a dedicated wheel cleaner made for the foam cannon. It lays a thick, long-clinging foam over the wheel face, barrel and arch liner so the surfactants have time to break down brake dust film, road grime and grease before you agitate.

The chemistry

Yum Cars describe Wheel Foam as an alkaline-based formulation containing a host of surfactants to clean, degrease and maintain your wheels. The Safety Data Sheet backs that up: an anionic-led surfactant blend supported by non-ionic co-surfactants, a chelating agent for mineral-bound grime, and an alkaline builder that does the degreasing. Alkaline cleaners are what shift oily road film, which is also why this product must never be left to dry. Yum Cars claim the longest foam cling time in the industry; that is their claim, and cling time is what gives the cleaners time to work.

Use it for

Routine wheel, tyre and wheel arch cleaning at every wash. Yum Cars state it is safe for use on all wheel surface types when used as directed. For baked-on brake dust and iron contamination, pre-treat with Yum Wheels first, then foam over the top.

How to use

Wheels must be cool to the touch, so never clean straight after driving. Add 200ml of Wheel Foam to your foam cannon and top up with 800ml of clean, fresh water, then shake well. Rinse the wheel, foam the face, barrel and arch, agitate with soft brushes and a wheel mitt, and rinse thoroughly. Do one wheel at a time and do not allow it to dry on any wheel finish.

Common questions

Is Yum Wheel Foam safe on all wheels?
Yum Cars state it is safe for use on all surface types. Work on cool wheels, one at a time, and rinse before it dries.

Do I need a foam cannon?
Yes. It is formulated for a pressure washer foam cannon at 200ml of product to 800ml of water.

What is the difference between Yum Wheel Foam and Yum Wheels?
Wheel Foam is the routine alkaline wheel cleaner. Yum Wheels is a colour-changing iron fallout remover for embedded brake dust. On dirty wheels use Yum Wheels first, then Wheel Foam.

Good to know

Available in 500ml and 5 litre. This is a concentrated cleaner: wear gloves and eye protection when decanting, avoid skin contact, and keep it out of reach of children.
