Yum Cars Yum Glass | Streak-Free Glass Cleaner

Yum Glass is a ready-to-use glass cleaner for inside and out. It cuts through the oily film that builds up on the inside of a windscreen, flashes off cleanly without hazing, and is safe on factory and aftermarket tinted windows.

The chemistry

The film on interior glass is mostly plasticiser vapour from the dashboard plus skin oils — it is greasy, so water alone smears it. The Safety Data Sheet shows Yum Glass uses a small amount of alcohol and a glycol ether solvent: the glycol ether dissolves the oily film, and the alcohol helps the cleaner evaporate evenly so it does not streak. It is pH neutral on the SDS. Yum Cars describe it as an anti-hazing, UV-stable formula with optical clarifiers and no harsh chemicals.

Use it for

Interior and exterior glass, mirrors, tinted windows and navigation screens. Yum Cars also suggest it for plastics, acrylics and household glass.

How to use

Use at least two short-pile towels. Spray onto the glass — or onto the towel for screens and interior glass — wipe with the first towel to lift the film, then buff dry with the second. Work in the shade on cool glass.

Common questions

Is Yum Glass safe on tinted windows?
Yes. Yum Cars state it is safe on all factory and aftermarket tinted windows.

Why do I still get streaks on my windscreen?
Usually one towel doing two jobs. Use a minimum of two towels: the first lifts the oily film, the second buffs dry.

Can I use it on screens?
Yum Cars list navigation screens among its uses. Spray the towel, not the screen.

Good to know

Bubblegum scent. Available in 500ml and 5 litre. Can cause eye irritation — avoid spraying towards your face.
