Yum Dress V2 is a water-based rubber and trim moisturiser. Yum Cars position it as a restorative product rather than a greasy layer that sits on top — it soaks in, darkens and conditions tyres and plastics, and builds with repeated use.

The chemistry

The Safety Data Sheet shows a pH-neutral, water-based silicone emulsion — no hydrocarbon solvents. Solvent-based dressings can swell and dry rubber over time and tend to sling; a water-based emulsion carries the conditioning agents into the surface and the water simply evaporates. Yum Cars state the formula is reinforced with resin polymers and has anti-static properties, so treated trim attracts less dust.

Use it for

Tyres, exterior rubber and plastic trim, engine bays and — per Yum Cars — interior plastics. Yum note that with repeated use the layers build and trim becomes more resistant to UV.

How to use

Dressing only bonds to clean rubber, so clean the tyre with Yum Undress first and let it dry. Apply neat with a foam tyre applicator, work it into the sidewall, leave it to soak in, then wipe off any excess before driving to prevent sling. For engine bays, Yum Cars dilute 1:5 (one part Dress to five parts water) and mist it on. Keep it off tyre tread, pedals and steering wheels.
