Yum Cars Yum Deodoriser | Odour Neutralising Air Freshener
Yum Deodoriser is a 2-in-1 air freshener with odour-neutralising properties — Yum Cars' point is that it removes bad smells rather than just covering them up. The scent is clean air with a hint of lemon, and it lingers for weeks.
The chemistry
The Safety Data Sheet shows a water-based, pH-neutral formula: a citrus fragrance (linalool, citral and limonene — the molecules that make lemon smell like lemon) held in solution by non-ionic surfactants, with a little alcohol to help it spread and dry. Sprayed into fabric, the fragrance is released slowly from the fibres, which is why a fabric-applied freshener outlasts a hanging card.
Use it for
Mats, carpets, boot liners and fabric seats. Yum Cars state it will not stain fabric, carpets or upholstery.
How to use
Spray directly onto mats, carpets and fabric seats — a few mists is plenty. Use neat, or dilute up to 1:1 with water for a lighter scent. Do not spray directly onto plastic trim, as it can cause spotting; if any lands on plastics, wipe it off straight away. For the best result, clean the source of the smell first.
