Yum Cars 3pH Wash System | Citrus, Reset, Foam & Wash

The full wash, in the order the chemistry wants. Four Yum Cars products across three pH bands: alkaline lifts what is organic, acid dissolves what is mineral, and neutral does the foam and the contact wash without stripping what you have already put on the car. Four 500ml bottles at 10% less than buying them separately.

The sequence

1. Yum Citrus, alkaline. The strong, concentrated citrus pre-wash. It releases traffic film, grease, grime and bugs. Dilute 1:5 to 1:10 for a maintenance wash (neat or 1:1 only for heavy contamination), apply, give it a short dwell and rinse.

2. Yum Reset, acid. The acidic step. It dissolves the mineral half that nothing alkaline will touch: water spots, hard-water film and the build-up that flattens a ceramic coating. Dose to Yum Cars' guide (150ml for pH 4, 100ml for pH 5.5, 50ml for pH 6.0), apply, do not let it dry, and rinse thoroughly.

3. Yum Foam, neutral foam. The snow foam Yum Cars rate at pH 7. Add 100 to 150ml to the foam cannon, top up with water and lay a coating-safe foam layer over the car before you make contact. Dwell 5 to 10 minutes without drying.

4. Yum Wash, neutral shampoo. The bucket product, rated pH 7 by Yum Cars. 100ml in the wash bucket for the contact wash, top down with a plush mitt, so you clean without stripping wax, sealant or coating. Rinse and dry.

Good to know

The 3pH sequence is how we wash in our own studio, and it is the same order as our Labocosmetica 3pH system. Yum Cars sell these as individual products; the system and the order are ours.

Work in the shade on cool panels, rinse between every step and never let a step dry on the surface. Yum Citrus is not for use on wrapped vehicles. Yum Reset is a mild strip shampoo, so it will shorten the life of waxes; the full sequence suits ceramic coated and sealed cars best. For the ordinary weekly wash, steps 3 and 4 are all you need.
