Stain Eraser - Suede

Sale price$19.99

A solid eraser block formulated specifically for suede, nubuck and Alcantara automotive surfaces. Lifts surface staining mechanically rather than chemically, so the nap of the fabric stays intact.

The chemistry

Suede and Alcantara aren't leather — they're napped microfibre or split-grain hide where the surface texture is the entire point of the material. Liquid cleaners and leather conditioners flatten the nap, leave water marks, and turn matt suede into shiny patches that look damaged.

Stain Eraser uses a different approach. A fine-grit eraser block lifts particulate dirt and surface staining through controlled abrasion — the same mechanism a pencil eraser uses on paper. No solvent, no water, no oil. The eraser surface picks up dirt and sheds it as fine debris that you brush off when you're done.

Use it on

  • Suede car seat inserts and bolsters
  • Alcantara steering wheels, gear knobs and shift surrounds
  • Suede dash trim, door cards and headliner inserts
  • Nubuck-faced upholstery panels

How to use

  1. Identify the direction the suede's nap lies in by running a finger across the surface — you'll feel one direction smooth, one rougher.
  2. Rub the eraser block in the direction of the nap with light pressure. Heavy pressure isn't needed and can over-abrade the surface.
  3. The eraser sheds fine crumbs as it works — that's the dirt being captured. Brush them away once the area looks clean.
  4. For stubborn stains, follow with a soft suede brush to lift and re-set the nap so the texture matches the surrounding area.

Don't soak suede in liquid before or after — that's what causes water rings and matted patches. Mechanical first, liquid only as a last resort.
