SONAX PROFILINE PREPARE strips polishing oils and residues so you can see what your correction actually looks like, rather than what the filling oils are flattering it into looking like. Also useful for removing sanding marks residue and prepping paint before a sealant or coating that needs to bond directly to the clear.

Why a panel wipe is not optional before a coating
Polishing oils sit in the micro-texture of the clear coat and hide exactly the defects you are trying to find. Worse, a coating laid over them bonds to the oil rather than the paint, and fails early and unevenly. Wipe, inspect under a light you trust, then coat. Smear-free wipe-off, safe on paint.
