Wheel Dust Blocker

Wheel Dust Blocker — a 200ml hydrophobic coating spray for alloy wheels, with 8 base-making sheets included. Builds an ultra-hydrophobic film on the wheel that stops brake dust from bonding to the clear coat.

The chemistry

A silica-based wheel coating that cures on the alloy clear coat to form a low-surface-energy film. Brake-dust particles are mostly iron oxide — they stick to wheels because the rough clear-coat surface gives them mechanical grip plus chemical bonding sites. The Wheel Dust Blocker coating fills both: smoother surface, lower surface energy, less dust adhesion.

Result: rinse-and-go wheel cleaning. Dust that would bond and stain after a week instead rinses off with plain water.

Use it for

Daily-driver alloys plagued by brake dust staining, premium vehicles where wheel cleaning is constant, weekend cars detailed weekly, mobile detailers wanting to add a wheel-protection upsell.

How to use

Wash and dry the wheels thoroughly. Decontaminate with an iron-removing wheel cleaner first if old contamination is bonded. Spray the coating onto a base-making sheet, work over the wheel face and barrel, allow 30 minutes to cure. Hold per application: 4-6 months. 200ml covers approximately 2-3 full vehicle wheel sets.
