Soft99 Rain Drop Tornado Vortex
Rain Drop Tornado Vortex — a 300 ml spray-on coating for paint and glass. Soft99 calls it the new version of Rain Drop: spray it on a wet, freshly washed car and wipe it off straight away.
What Soft99 says
Soft99 positions it for the whole car — paintwork and glass, and (per Soft99's EU blog) exterior plastics, chrome and wheels. The rotating "tornado" nozzle spins when you pull the trigger to lay down a circular spray pattern. Soft99 rates it at up to 5 months on paint and 3 months on glass, and says one can covers about five average-sized cars. Those figures are Soft99's own, not independent Australian testing.
Soft99 credits its RAS Shield technology but does not publish a full ingredient list, so we don't describe the chemistry beyond that. It is Soft99's own spray-on chemistry, separate from the Glaco glass-repellent range.
Use it for
A quick wet-application coating step at the end of a wash, refreshing protection on paint and glass between full coatings. Soft99 says it can also act as a booster over waxes.
How to use
Soft99's instructions: wash the vehicle by hand and rinse it thoroughly, and keep it wet. Shake the can well (in winter, warm it in warm water for a few minutes first). Spray one panel at a time, at roughly two seconds per square metre, then wipe the residue off immediately with a highly absorbent microfibre towel until the finish is clear and glossy. Always apply it to a wet vehicle. Soft99 gives no waiting or cure time, so we don't quote one.
For wheels and grilles, spray onto a cloth and wipe rather than spraying the surface directly, so product doesn't reach the brakes or the engine bay (Soft99 Japan).
Extremely flammable aerosol. Keep it away from heat and open flames, don't pierce or burn the can, don't expose it to temperatures above 50°C, wear gloves and eye protection, and avoid breathing the spray. Empty the can outdoors, away from ignition sources.
