New Brake Dust Cleaner — a 400ml spray-on cleaner formulated specifically for the iron-particle brake dust that bonds to alloy wheel clear coat after every drive.
The chemistry
A pH-balanced surfactant blend with iron-dissolving chemistry — the active component reacts with the iron oxide that forms when hot brake-pad particles fuse to the wheel surface, breaking the chemical bond and lifting the particles into solution.
Visible reaction: the cleaner turns purple/red as it works through the iron contamination. Once the colour change stops, the iron has been neutralised. pH-safe for alloy clear coat.
Use it for
Brake dust removal between full washes, post-track-day wheel cleaning, returning daily-driver alloys to factory finish, prep before applying a wheel coating.
How to use
Spray onto cool wheels (never hot — even pH-balanced cleaners accelerate damage on hot metal). Allow 1-2 minutes for the chemistry to react — you'll see colour change as iron lifts. Agitate with a wheel brush for stubborn areas. Rinse thoroughly with water.
