Yum Cars Yum Detailer | High-Gloss Quick Detailer & Drying Aid
Yum Detailer is a quick detailer that does one thing and does it properly: gloss and slickness. Yum Cars are refreshingly direct about it — in their words, a detail spray should not carry protection behind it, it should carry extreme gloss and slickness. Use it as a drying aid after every wash, or on dry paint for a just-detailed finish.
The chemistry
The Safety Data Sheet shows a water-based emulsion — the off-white colour is the giveaway — with a small amount of glycol ether to help it spread and flash evenly. The emulsified gloss agents fill the microscopic texture of the surface so light reflects more evenly, and they leave a slick film that lets a drying towel glide instead of drag. That lubrication is the real value of a drying aid: less friction on the paint at the moment you are most likely to mar it. We make no durability claim for it, because Yum Cars don't.
Use it for
The whole exterior — paint, glass, wheels and door jambs. It is also the lubricant Yum Cars recommend with the Yum Clay Block.
How to use
As a drying aid. Blow or sheet off standing water, mist one panel at a time, and dry with a drying aid towel, finishing with a second dry towel.
On dry paint. Mist lightly, spread with one towel and buff with a second. Use after every wash, unless you are topping up protection with Yum Ceramic instead.
