Leather Barrier
A leather protection coating that bonds to the surface of automotive leather and creates a barrier against jeans dye, denim transfer, and sweat-driven UV degradation. Different from a leather conditioner — this is the protective film that goes ON TOP after conditioning.
The chemistry
A polymer barrier that cross-links on the leather surface to form a thin, breathable hydrophobic film.
Dye molecules and salt-based sweat staining sit on top of the barrier rather than penetrating into the grain. The leather underneath stays accessible to conditioning oils via the breathable structure.
Use it for
After conditioning new leather, before delivering a detailed vehicle, light-coloured leather seats prone to denim dye transfer, daily-driver leather seats with frequent contact.
How to use
Apply over already-conditioned leather. Wipe on with a clean microfibre, allow to cure 12 hours, top up every 4-6 months. Don't apply to dirty leather — clean and condition first.
