Koch Chemie RS Reactivation Shampoo — Bring a Coating's Beading Back

When a ceramic coating stops beading like it used to, the coating usually isn't dead — it's buried under hydrophilic film: dust, limescale and mineral salts that water clings to. Reactivation Shampoo is an acidic, strong-foaming wash that dissolves that film and restores the coating's water-repellency and sheeting.

Controlled acidity, used correctly

It's a concentrate at pH 1, but you never use it neat. At the recommended 1:200 dilution it works at around pH 3.0 — acidic enough to descale, mild enough to be coating-safe when used as directed. Wear gloves, and for a heavily soiled car, pre-clean with an alkaline pre-cleaner first so the acid can focus on the mineral deposits.

How to use it

Dilute about 50 ml to 10 L for a hand wash on paint, glass and exterior plastic. Wash, dwell briefly, then rinse thoroughly and dry.
