A hot wheel can dry product onto the finish before you rinse it, and Yum's directions are blunt about it: the wheel must be cool to the touch, and product must never dry on it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv class=\"row\"\u003e\n\u003cspan class=\"num\"\u003e02\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003ePre-wash the dry wheel.\u003c\/b\u003e Paolo's take, borrowed from washing paint: a pre-wash before any water, using a cleaner its maker says can go on dry. Paolo just adds the dry pre-wash in front, the same idea as a paint pre-wash. It clings to the face, barrel and arch long enough for the surfactants to work before you agitate.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYum Wheels, for when brake dust builds up.\u003c\/strong\u003e A non-acidic, pH-neutral wheel cleaner and iron remover in one bottle, used neat. Yum say the colour change shows in under a minute as it reacts with iron.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eYum Undress and Yum Dress V2, for the tyres.\u003c\/strong\u003e Undress, used neat, cleans the sidewall so Dress V2 lays down and bonds properly, which is why Yum recommend it every wash.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThe Woolies and the Wheel Mitt, for the contact wash.\u003c\/strong\u003e Three Wheel Woolies brushes, small, medium and large on 18-inch handles, reach the barrels and between the spokes.
